Our religious nuts versus their religious nuts.

I am not an openly religious person, I believe religion is a deeply quiet journey that is the foundation of a moral and ethical system of thought. Nevertheless, I take it as a personal affront when I see "morons" paint people who dare step into a church, regardless of denomination, as some sort of right-wing religious zealot, bent on bombing abortion clinics and garbing everyone in early Quaker fashion. All the while daring to compare these same people to the evil that is Islamic extremism.

For me the statement concerning religious zealotry, "They are all nuts," doesn't fit anymore. One is crazy, while the other is dangerous.

OC Reigster-A man held a woman captive in handcuffs and an adult diaper for three days while he read Bible passages to her, police said.

Troy Brisport, 34, was charged with kidnapping and felonious assault. Bail was set Tuesday at $400,000.

He picked up the woman Wednesday night in Detroit after she told him she had nowhere to stay, and brought her to his home in Toledo, about 55 miles away, police said.

I am really not sure how to frame this anymore succinctly. If this comparison is lost on people who obviously don't have the cognitive ability to discern where the malevolence draped in the veil of religion is, I cannot help them. Inevitably, they will be a victim of their own folly.

Here is a prime example of that myopia. All in the name of feeling intellectually superior, while treading in waters with predators who don't give a damn about the intellect of their prey.

Report: War on terror eroded liberties

UPI-An international human rights legal group says harsh anti-terrorism measures have undermined the "cherished values" of Britain and other nations.

The International Commission of Jurists, a 60-nation group of lawyers based in Geneva, Switzerland, says its 3-year study of the war on terror waged by the United States, Britain and other Western countries has caused a "shocking" amount of damage to their civil liberties, The Washington Post (NYSE:WPO) reported Tuesday.

"Many governments, ignoring the lessons of history, have allowed themselves to be rushed into hasty responses to terrorism that have undermined cherished values and violated human rights," said Arthur Chaskalson, a former chief justice of South Africa.

The report criticized the administration pf former U.S. President George W. Bush for allegedly equating acts of terror with acts of war -- a "legally and conceptually flawed" stance -- which the jurists said resulted in "immense damage" to the standing of international law, the Post reported. read more...

Before any left leaning pundit or anti-war aficionado jumps on the "blood for oil campaign," or "Bush was a war-monger" diatribe, this is about reality. Not skewed partisan politics which people use to shape their outlooks. Judge when you have been there, tell me when you know, until then admit your opinions are just that, opinions.

Finally, this is not saying that Christianity is better than Islam, it is observing that Islam suffers from a cultural disease that is becoming almost pandemic, and it is a sickness that has been around a lot longer than us. Christianity has its problems, but characterizing or leveling it with extreme Islam is insidious and imbecilic. The only accomplishment garnered is an empowerment of extremist Jihadist movements and a weakening of Western culture. All for what? Because "Right Wing Evangelicals" have been a formidable voting bloc since Nixon? Yeah, that makes it right.

Graham Boxing with Boxer

Mini-post. While trying to perform some grown up business on the Senate floor, Senator Graham was interrupted by Ms. Non Compos Mentis, Barbara Boxer.

Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, sought to remind Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, that Democrats had agreed to add to the stimulus bill two major tax provisions proposed by Republicans.

“I thank the senator for his comments,” Mr. Graham replied, more irked than grateful. “If you believe this is a good process to spend $800 billion, we’re on different planets. We’re making this up as we go. If this is a good process, why are 16 senators meeting around the corner trying to figure out how to keep this thing from stinking?”

Moments later, Senator Barbara Boxer, Democrat of California, interrupted Mr. Graham saying she wanted to ask a question, but in fact she wanted to chastise him for waving around a copy of the bill. “Theatrical,” she exclaimed. “Did you do that when George Bush was president and he sent down a bill twice as big as that? Did you ever do that? You can do that. That’s theatrics. You can do that.”

I'm no fan of Graham, but if this garbage is what is passing as politics these days, it's no wonder the country is in this sorry state of affairs. I am sticking to my original thoughts on Boxer, she is an experiment in "artificial stupidity." Freaking overpaid child.

Tom Daschle:Tax Problems, Go Figure

Surprise, surprise, surprise, Tom Daschle owes back taxes. Another Democrat caught cheating on taxes and claiming it was due to ignorance. But, don't worry, now that it matters he has paid what was owed. Doesn't that make you feel better?

FOX News confirmed that Daschle alerted the Senate Finance Committee, which will oversee his confirmation hearing, that the matter involves more than $100,000 in back taxes and interest for a car and driver that was provided to him for four years by Leo Hindery, "a wealthy Democratic donor and longtime friend of Daschle's."

Daschle "incorrectly assumed" the use of the car and driver was not subject to taxation. But the White House says he discovered the error during preparation for his confirmation and filed amended tax returns with the proper payment and interest.

Please, don't fret none, the White House is all over it. Their response has been printed out on the newly created form letter for Cabinet nominees with tax problems.

The White House issued a statement Friday night affirming that Daschle "is the right person to lead the fight for health care reform."

"Senator Daschle brought these issues to the Finance Committee's attention when he submitted his nomination forms and we are confident the committee is going to schedule a hearing for him very soon, and he will be confirmed," it says.

Yawn, this isn't news anymore, it's expected.

Obama's Compromise, the Big Bluff.

President Obama is open to compromise as the hour of his reckoning draws near. Now he is claiming that he is willing to accept GOP changes to the stimulus package, invoked Reagan, and asked everyone to sing kumbyah.

I don't think that anyone got the idea that when President Obama started talking about bipartisanship that he meant, not only the captain, but the crew goes down with the ship, too. If Repubs. bite on this they are as stupid as the Left paints them.

Potential Prosecution of Bush DOJ Officials

In an interview with Chris Wallace, Nancy Pelosi, has indicated her willingness to investigate former Bush DOJ officials for "warrantless wire-tapping" and "torture" of known terrorists.

The Politico-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that she was open to pursuing investigations of abuses by the Bush Justice Department.

“I think that we have to learn from the past and we cannot let the politicizing, for example, of the Justice Department, to go unreviewed,” Pelosi said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Past is prologue. We learn from it.”

Last Sunday on "This Week," Obama spoke with George Stephanopoulos about a question posed on his website, www.change.gov, concerning the prosecution of Bush administration official's "gravest crimes."

Obama's response,

This Week- "We're still evaluating how we're going to approach the whole issue of interrogations, detentions, and so forth. And obviously we're going to look at past practices. And I don't believe that anybody is above the law. On the other hand, I also have a belief that we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards. And part of my job is to make sure that for example at the CIA, you've got extraordinarily talented people who are working very hard to keep Americans safe. The key point here is the relentless Democratic pursuit of revenge against the Bush administration and its officials. Congressman John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, released a 500 page report supposedly detailing the egregious offenses the Bush DOJ supposedly committed. The report calls for a "blue ribbon panel" to fully investigate administration activities, and independent criminal probes.

The Department of Justice fired back with detailed documentation, of their own, recapping the President's Constitutional authorities and responsibility to protect the nation when it is threatened at home and abroad.

These people, especially in Congress, are dangerously naieve about the world they live in. Glad to know we have elected officials, whom I thought were sworn to protect us, willing to sacrifice the safety of the American people for their pitiful quest of political vengeance.

Marc Ambinder Stoo-pidity Day?

I have glossed over Ambinder's material in the past and really wasn't that impressed. I give more credit to Ezra Klein, or the socialists over at FireDog Lake, for the quality of their politically left-leaning commentary. But, Ambinder is just begging to be shredded with his addled drool today.

Not only has he given Timothy Giethner a free pass for his tax evasion. He seems to be impressed by the President-elect's feeble attempt at falsely appearing to ingratiate himself with conservative opinion leaders.

Democrat, John McCain, says seat Burris

Sen. John McCain (D-Arz.), in an interview with Neil Cavuto, stated he did not have a problem with Roland Burris being seated. The highly Progressive Liberal Senator from Arizona admitted he is no constitutional scholar of the Illinois state constitution, but, this appointment seems legal.

McCain is attempting to return to his Liberal roots, after a brief foray into Conservative territory, by getting on the Dianne Feinstein bandwagon.

Excerpt from the Cavuto interview, via ABC's, The Note;

The Note-Cavuto: "Let me ask you, because you have this side soap opera going with Blagojevich and whether Burris is going to be seated. Do you think it should be resolved quickly so, as Barack Obama seems to be saying, move on with the people's business?"

McCain: "Well, I hope so and it's not my business, either one. But in the case of Sen. Burris, I don't see what grounds you deny him being seated."

Cavuto: "So, you would seat him?"

McCain: "Certainly, because I think he has been legally appointed by a governor who has not been ... "

Cavuto: "But the governor might be impeached, thereby negating his appointments."

McCain: "I don't know if you can negate it that way. I'm not the constitutional scholar of the Illinois state constitution but it seems to me that the individual was chosen in a legal manner, who I have never met, by the way." read more...

Well, dear Senator, you are right, you are no scholar on the law and your ignorance is shining through like the sun. So, let's go to the experts and see what they have to say about the legalities of Illinois State law versus Federal law, concerning the seating of Burris.

Nancy Pelosi, The Making of an Idiot...er...Speaker of the House

Recently, I have been considering a post on the list of incompetent actions that Nancy Pelosi has undertaken since beginning her tenure as Speaker of the House. My inspiration was her exquisite example of non-leadership on the House floor recently. But J.R. Dunn at the American Thinker beat me to it, sort of. He wrote a really good article, Nancy Pelosi: The worst Speaker in History, which compares former Speaker of the House (1890's era), Thomas Reed, to Nancy Pelosi, a drastic difference indeed. It was a look at puissant and bodacious leader, Reed, versus a yammering, inept, irrational, obtuse, imbecile, Pelosi. But the comparison of Madumb Screecher and Thomas Reed is another story. My personal little diatribe is all for the Progressive tip of the spear, Mrs. Pelosi and no one else.

With all of her San Francisco aristocratic gentry, Pelosi has shown no qualities that define leadership. She gives us nothing but divisive rhetoric during a time of economic crisis, inane ramblings on the House floor, presided over a Congress that was allowed to slip in 11,000 earmarks (So much for running a transparent and ethical Congress.), cronyism by backing her friend Murtha for House Majority Leader, (Coincidentally, Murtha, village-idiot-at-large, was the worst abuser of earmarks for 2007), suggesting that we pay for SCHIP by raising taxes on cigarettes $.61 a pack(Huh?), let's not forget Alcee Hastings, and "I am trying to save the planet;I am trying to save the planet!"There is much more but this server does not have the bandwidth to support such a long post.

But the question still remains how, under her and Reid's leadership, did they take an abysmal Republican controlled Congress and make it worse? I did not think it was possible. They are nothing more than monkeys flinging $H1T at each other. Further proof that elitist minded intelligent specific boobs, on either side of the aisle, should not be allowed to obtain positions of power. I would love them to be relegated to the halls of academia, book signings, and cocktail parties. Impressing indelible youngsters with their arrogant critiques of the rest of the world is about all they are good for.

Krauthammer, Critical Thinking, and Sub-Lame Lamenting

Alright, as much as I don't like to, I have to give some cred to CT, he might have gotten a part of the Sub-Lame crisis causes right. His political writing idol, Charles Krauthammer, and him seem to agree at least on the start of the Bubble going pop! I am just glad I got to the Townhall rag before he did, I would have never heard the end of it.

For decades, starting with Jimmy Carter's Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, there has been bipartisan agreement to use government power to expand homeownership to people who had been shut out for economic reasons or, sometimes, because of racial and ethnic discrimination. What could be a more worthy cause? But it led to tremendous pressure on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- who in turn pressured banks and other lenders -- to extend mortgages to people who were borrowing over their heads. That's called subprime lending. It lies at the root of our current calamity. [1]

Let's backtrack to the Community Reinvestment Act and its amendment n 1995, under then President, Bill Clinton. As passed by the Carter administration, the CRA was supposed to provide credit, including home ownership opportunities to undeserved populations and commercial loans to small businesses. [2]

This might be the technical reason, but, what the Hamster and CT forgot is the personal reason. Greed and forgetting about you and me, the working guys and girls. Changing outdated regulatory laws, make a quick buck with some creative financing, and let's giveaway money to people who cannot repay it. Nothing in there for the middle class average working stiff from either party. Repubs driven by helping the corporate rats and the Demos driven by helping people with their damn hands out. Where is our representation?

Now the Chuckster does go on to lament, yup anudder big wurd, about "hanging" corporate execs.

Capping executive pay is piffle. What we need are a few exemplary hangings. [1]

I might not be the smurtest guy in da' world, but I know sarcasm when I hear it. My opinion is break them, make them donate their fortunes to the American taxpayer. If you make enough money to pay into to taxes, you get a small check courtesy of Wall Street execs and their companies. It won't be much but it sure as hell will send a message. You screw the law abiding, bill paying, decent citizens of this country over, you will pay them back one way or another.

As I see it, CT got most of the technical aspects of the causes correct. But overlooked the need for reparations to the American people, as well as did Krauthammer. Repub morons and Demowitted tards, you better listen and listen well. Your time and chances are running thin. You better get with the program cause the peasants are sharpening up their pitch forks and getting the torches ready to burn. You butt monkeys are gonnna get your collective asses voted out of office sooner or later and then you can sit in your coffee shops pointing fingers at each other while someone else runs the country!

Rangel, Stupid is as Stupid Does

Hello, world. I want to be honest I have no credentials for this. I am an average guy in a not so average world. What I do know is I am pissed off with the snotty, latte swilling, sewage that tries to tell us what to think because they view us as drones. This goes for both parties. If you are a party wonk, of either flavor, then stop reading, I am going to raise your blood pressure. The only control any of us have is voting and bitchin' on blogs and that is good enough for me.

This first hit piece is against village idiot, Charlie "I don't need to pay my taxes" Rangel. Over the last few days Rangel was quoted as calling the Republican VP pick and national hottie, Governor Sarah Palin, disabled. If you are to dense to figure it out it means he was calling her retarded.

Ole' Chuck has a long list of what I consider to disabled behavior. Wait a minute, you have to have a brain in order for it to be disabled. Here is a list of Chuck's great contribution to the Wide World of the Witless.

In 2003, immediately before the United States invasion of Iraq, Rangel called on Congress to reinstate a military draft, the last of which had been discontinued at the end of the Vietnam War. His bill would have created a draft of people aged 18-26.

In 2006, he introduced a similar bill mandating service for those between the ages of 18 and 42.

Rangel has repeatedly shown his willingness to risk arrest for participating in political protests.Most recently, on July 13, 2004, he was the first of three sitting US House members to be arrested on trespassing charges, for protesting alleged human rights abuses in Sudan in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.

In 2005 he had a feud with Dick Cheney. This is just stupid cause we all know Cheney is one helluva shot.

On April 16, 2004, roughly one month after Sun Moon had hosted an awards ceremony in a Senate office building at which he had declared himself the messiah, Rangel signed a proclamation written on official congressional stationary declaring the controversial Rev. Moon and his wife "True Parents" and the "King of Peace.

The jury is in, Chuck Rangel is stupid enough to drown in a desert.

I don't even know why I am writing about this. I guess it was to damn funny to pass up. This latest attempt at Liberal brain drain is brought to you by that intellectual giant of a woman, Whoopi Golberg, via News Busters.

Whoopi sez:

"Sarah Palin Is a Very Dangerous Woman," she lobs a wild pitch about the Alaskan Independence Party kerfuffle: "I also thought that this idea of America first coming from her was kind of strange because she was one of the people who wanted to succeed from the United States. She was part of a campaign to succeed Alaska from the United States of America." [1]

Do I really need to say anything? Oh, don't worry though, it gets better.

Whoopi goes on to say:

"This girl is dangerous to me. This is a very dangerous woman, because I believe for her intents and purposes, she’s OK if everybody lives a certain way, that is to say, the way God ordained men and women to be. Well, already she’s breaking that because she’s the daddy. She’s going to run the country and the husband is going to take care of the kids. I just found the whole thing sad and very musty and very much like a Bund rally, but maybe that was just me." [1]

Huh? Does this Football Bat have any clue what she is blithering about? I think this intellectual train wreck wrote this in-between bong hits. Although, there is more, it is actually getting sad that this woman is that stupid. I'm out.
