Grand Theft Stimulus

The House of Representatives has passed the Obastimulus Pork Chop of 2009, 246-183 with no Republican help. Seven Democrats held the line against Pelosi and her cartel by voting no for the 1,071 page bill. All of those exhaustive efforts and debate, just to garner two new votes.

The "generational theft" package (Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz), was touted as being "a historic vote," by Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Historic in the fact that this will open the door to the most massive spending program ever enacted in the United States that was not directed at a war effort.

The CBO's latest, published on February 13th, 2009.





Big picture, this catastrophe, over a ten year period, will amount to net increase of $782 billion in deficit spending, while generating -$211 billion in government revenues, and then the added expenditure of interest on the loan, which should easily put it over $1 trillion.

Also, this increase in spending does not take into account the amount of increases in discretionary and entitlement spending which are part of standard US government yearly budget proposals. Which have a habit of running into deficit spending also.

The tax cuts are almost as pitiful as the rest of the package. According to Breibart, individual Americans will receive a $400 a year tax break, while married will get $800 per year, and social security payments totaling $250 per recipient will be made. How does this put money in your pocket to spend, save, or invest?

Of course, Paul Krugman, Keynesian-at-large, tells us in a recent NY Times Op-ed piece, this is not a bad thing,

"Consumers, their wealth decimated and their optimism shattered by collapsing home prices and a sliding stock market, have cut back their spending and sharply increased their saving — a good thing in the long run, but a huge blow to the economy right now."

Maybe we should all be like Mr. Intellectual Dishonesty and get a book deal or two or maybe an op-ed column for the Times, then everything will be alright. It must be nice to sit at the top of ivory towers dispensing advice to people you wouldn't spit on if they were on fire. Especially when it comes to how the government should be spending their money.

The Obama administration, the Democrats in Congress, and people like Krugman and Robert Reich have continued this charade which is only designed to rip off the American tax payer. Not only are they engaging in rampant spending, they have failed to answer the question, "How will this be payed for?" Furthermore, this was a grand opportunity to reform tax system, Medicaid, as well as Social Security, one which they pathetically missed. They have turned a blind eye to these problems, in fact, they have probably just made them worse.

The President's legacy is amounting up to missed chances, stimulating debt, and ineffective ideas which are being pushed through without any consideration for the long term effects. Is it to much to ask that someone stops for a moment and thinks?

Update: According to AllahPundit over at HotAir.com, they are awaiting three more Democratic votes to attain a filibuster proof majority; Bayh, Gillibrand, and Brown. As expected, Benedict Arnold and the Arnettes, Specter, Collins, and Snowe, all voted for the porkulus bill. For all practical purposes this is over, not that anyone expected any miracles on the Hill.

Senate Designate Kristen Gillibrand, Blue Dog

Rep. Kristen Gillibrand's (D-NY) appointment to HRC's Senate seat was political "shock and awe" to liberal Democrats and Republicans, as well. Gillibrand, is a fiscal hawk, pro-guns, anti gay marriage, as well as adhering to many other Right leaning stances. Her appointment should make some on the Right raise an eyebrow in interest.

Gillibrand, or Tracy Flick, as she is known by her not so illustrious Congressional colleagues, is the daughter of Doug Rutnik, a well-known GOP lobbyist and has worked as an intern for Alphonse D'Amato, the former senior New York Republican senator and influential Washington lobbyist.

Minus her right leaning stances these are some obviously strong connects with the GOP. However, it still cannot be forgotten, that at the end of the da,y she still has a "D" behind her name.

Despite this, many high ranking liberals are miffed about her appointment to the Senate.

From the New York Post,

"It's the wrong message that she's sending out by having Alfonse D'Amato there," said Assemblyman Peter Rivera (D-Bronx), who called Gillibrand "anti-immigrant."

"The message is that she's still to the right and is going to continue to stay to the right."

This has even sparked disdain from the the Grand-Poohbette herself, Nancy Pelosi.

Sources told The Post that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) called Paterson Thursday night to express displeasure with his choice, multiple sources said. Her spokesman strongly denied the claim and insisted they talked about politics.

McCarthy, a Long Island Democrat who ran for Congress after her husband was shot to death and her son wounded in the 1993 Long Island Rail Road massacre, said someone with such a record should not be the next senator from New York.

"The majority of New Yorkers believe in trying to reduce gun violence," she said.

With Caroline Kennedy's strange disappearance from the scene and Gillibrand's unexpected appointment, the Republicans better be on the watch. Paint me a political conspiracy theorist, but for some strange reason I am smelling White House involvement and pre-positioning. True intentions, unknown.

Locking up the Free Markets and Throwin' Away the Key.

Sometimes by looking back on the historical relevance of a past can be a guide or lesson book for the future. You can apply this to the present day economic tragedy and the political state of affairs of 2008 to the environment of 1933. The Wall Street Journal just published an article by Paul H. Rubin, Get Ready for the New New Deal. An intriguing comparison of the FDR administration to a potential Obama administration and how that may not be the right thing for America’s future.

The new president's response was to restructure the economy with the New Deal -- an expansion of the role of government once unimaginable in America. We now know that FDR's policies likely prolonged the Great Depression because the economy never fully recovered in the 1930s, and actually got worse in the latter half of the decade.

Keeping in mind, as rightfully pointed out in the WSJ article, Obama is one of the most Liberal members of Congress. Himself as well as Nancy Pelosi, Herry Reid, and other noted Liberal leaders have all blamed this on de-regulation. How else should we expect them to react other than imposing further directives and possibly even going as far as creating new and more powerful regulatory bodies.

Unlike FDR, Mr. Obama will not have to create the mechanisms government uses to interfere with the economy before imposing his policies. FDR had to get the Supreme Court to overturn a century's worth of precedents limiting the power of government before he could use the Constitution's commerce clause, among other things, to increase government control of the economy. Mr. Obama will have no such problem.

This is the key point, FDR basically had to build this Liberal bastion of regulatory bodies from the ground up. Until this point, the control the government extended over the economy was minimal and that attitude had lasted for the better part of a hundred years, until the Depression. Obama, on the other hand, has sixty-five years or so of regulatory growth and institutions to build upon. With no opposition in Congress the overwhelming size of regulatory bodies and laws he can create would change the landscape of the American economy for generations. I guarantee it will have free marketers going into convulsions just at the mere thought.

Also pointed out early in the WSJ article is the fact that we are not in the crisis that was being experienced in 1933. There is a great deal of potential for it to collapse and go the way of the Depression, but we are not there yet. Unfortunately, Congress and Senator Obama are already planning on trying to spend their way out of this. This is stereotypical Liberal behavior to economic misfortune, throw money at it till it goes away. Stimulus packages will not stimulate anything other than a want by people to get another check from the government.

When it comes to these stimulus packages, I think we forget sometimes that they are a loan that Congress is making to us on our behalf. It has to be paid back sooner or later. I fail to see how incurring more debt will solve any of our current problems. It was carrying to much debt that got us here in the first place, so we want to enable the problem further?

Part of the more successful attitudes that FDR demonstrated during the Depression years was fiscal responsibility. He and those around him made a Herculean attempt to control spending so they could stimulate some growth in the economy. Albeit the increase in manufacturing for WWII is probably the most notable reason we pulled out of the Depression but his fiscal conservatism did play a major role. However, based on the stimulus package approach I do not think we can expect Obama or Congress to adopt this frame of mind. I only hope and pray that someone wakes up and realizes trying to correct one extreme with another usually ends in further disaster.

The New PDS: Pelosi DumbA#% Syndrome

I know this is about two days old, but I was trying to hold off on talking about PDS anymore. No, not Palin Derangement Syndrome, Pelosi Dumbass Syndrome. Also I gave Opie my word I would quit being so obsessed with her stupidity, but this is again, too much.

Now Madumb Screecher wants a $150 billion stimulus package. For what? The last one didn't work and times were better, although they did not seem that way then. I can see it now, Madumb Screecher, the Russians are invading the West Coast, Nancy Pelosi, "We need a stimulus package!" Madumb Screecher, half the polar ice caps just melted away, Nancy Pelsoi, "We need a stimulus package!"

Let's face it people they have just replaced earmarks with stimulus packages. This in my opinion is the new pork. A couple of other things too, this is not free money, think of it as a long term loan that will be paid back by you, your kids, your grand kids, and their kids. And before all of this we were already eyeballs deep in debt, now you can add on another trillion and growing. Secondly, most of the bust in the economy was caused by people carrying to much debt and not having the capital to pay up when the time came, so here is Congress setting the example once again. These people are habitual spenders, they need a massive intervention with a 12 step program. It is pathetic.

Spending is Washington's answer for everything, throw money at it and it will go away. Because this is the only thing they know how to do, It doesn't work that way in microecon, macroecon, or everydayecon. Fiscal responsibility, good leadership, better management, and transparency is the fix. The only problem is these goons in Washington and state governments are as entrenched as a tick on Mississippi hound dog.

Nancy Pelosi, The Making of an Idiot...er...Speaker of the House

Recently, I have been considering a post on the list of incompetent actions that Nancy Pelosi has undertaken since beginning her tenure as Speaker of the House. My inspiration was her exquisite example of non-leadership on the House floor recently. But J.R. Dunn at the American Thinker beat me to it, sort of. He wrote a really good article, Nancy Pelosi: The worst Speaker in History, which compares former Speaker of the House (1890's era), Thomas Reed, to Nancy Pelosi, a drastic difference indeed. It was a look at puissant and bodacious leader, Reed, versus a yammering, inept, irrational, obtuse, imbecile, Pelosi. But the comparison of Madumb Screecher and Thomas Reed is another story. My personal little diatribe is all for the Progressive tip of the spear, Mrs. Pelosi and no one else.

With all of her San Francisco aristocratic gentry, Pelosi has shown no qualities that define leadership. She gives us nothing but divisive rhetoric during a time of economic crisis, inane ramblings on the House floor, presided over a Congress that was allowed to slip in 11,000 earmarks (So much for running a transparent and ethical Congress.), cronyism by backing her friend Murtha for House Majority Leader, (Coincidentally, Murtha, village-idiot-at-large, was the worst abuser of earmarks for 2007), suggesting that we pay for SCHIP by raising taxes on cigarettes $.61 a pack(Huh?), let's not forget Alcee Hastings, and "I am trying to save the planet;I am trying to save the planet!"There is much more but this server does not have the bandwidth to support such a long post.

But the question still remains how, under her and Reid's leadership, did they take an abysmal Republican controlled Congress and make it worse? I did not think it was possible. They are nothing more than monkeys flinging $H1T at each other. Further proof that elitist minded intelligent specific boobs, on either side of the aisle, should not be allowed to obtain positions of power. I would love them to be relegated to the halls of academia, book signings, and cocktail parties. Impressing indelible youngsters with their arrogant critiques of the rest of the world is about all they are good for.

We are making an effort here at PCT to allow our little podunk blog to grow, mature, and give the best possible venue for solid news and some sensible opinions. We are looking over articles that we view as pertinent to todays situations and a few you might not see in the MSM that are equally important.

This is called, "In the News." Basically just a culmination of three or four articles taken from today's headlines via Townhall, The American Prospect, RCP, News Media Journal, Drudge, etc. Note, we are Conservatives here and opinions will be given from that stance. If you disagree, go for it, we want to hear what you have to say. One of the fundamentals we believe in here at PCT is the First Amendment. With that in mind, Left leaning opinions are more than welcomed and wanted, we need somebody to fight with. So here we go.

Dem: House GOP Ignored on Bailout

Bob Cusack, The Hill-Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA) on Friday suggested Democratic leaders did not solicit enough input from House Republicans on the financial rescue package. During an interview on CNBC, Kanjorski pointed out that House Republicans have balked at the new compromise on the bailout. Asked whether House GOP lawmakers are right to believe they were slighted, Kanjorski replied, “I don't know that we included them in enough, and that's always a dangerous thing in politics. Cred to Rep. Kanjorski (D-PA) for admitting the narcissistic tendencies of the infants in Congress. But remember before you judge the Republican Rep's to harshly, this is a two way street. I think the consensus is in about Pelosi shooting off her mouth. This woman has no intentions of ever being bipartisan, nor does the pissing chihuahua from Nevada.

FBI Investigating Fannie Mae & Lehman Bros.

Suzy Jagger, The Times of London-FBI is trying to pin down whether executives at four American financial institutions, believed to have triggered the $700 billion proposed bailout of Wall Street, lied to shareholders, it emerged yesterday. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has launched an inquiry into Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the mortgage companies; Lehman Brothers, the collapsed investment bank; and AIG, the nationalized insurance company. While a spokesman for the FBI last night told The Times: "We don't name companies", it is understood that investigators are trying to ascertain whether fraud helped cause some of the troubles at the four groups. This is a step in the right direction as far as justice being served. If the FBI is involved you can bet it is going to get deep and some heads will roll. My only concern is that this could turn into a witch hunt, they need to nail the proper people, the ones fudging the numbers.

Pelosi Paid Husband with PAC Funds

Jennifer Haberkorn, The Washington Times-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year. Financial Leasing Services Inc. (FLS), owned by Paul F. Pelosi, has received $99,000 in rent, utilities and accounting fees from the speaker's "PAC to the Future" over the PAC's nine-year history. The payments have quadrupled since Mr. Pelosi took over as treasurer of his wife's committee in 2007, Federal Election Commission records show. Read more...

This is high-larious, this is the same thing that Pelsoi was actually fighting against. Now, this is not illegal, it just smacks and smells of impropriety. My feeling on them matter is, if it is going to raise flags, legitimate or not, it is probably better not to do it. Especially considering Botox Nancy's position in politics.

VP debate moderator Ifill releasing pro-Obama book

Uh yeah, bipartisan and fair, because we all know that liberal journalists are the only ones capable of this. This woman has a financial stake in Obama becoming President, I am sorry that is a conflict of interest and there is no way to spin this one to anyone with half a brain.

But on the bright side, what this does tell me is the Left, despite all of its attacks against Palin, are still not sure if they are right about her. So they are trying to pad the debate in favor of Biden, just in case. Either way this woman will probably not be removed with the debate about 24 hours away, it is to late. This is going to be interesting.

Get Over It America: Inept Leadership and Myopic Voters

I am starting to understand why Rick Moran is getting disgusted with the world of politics. I have a simple question, though. What is wrong with everyone? Are we this apathetic and cynical that we cannot realize we are on the brink of financial collapse? People, this time the sky really is falling and it is falling fast. You would think times like these would bring out our real leaders, people of great character, ideas, and brilliance. I am looking around and I am not seeing any of that. What I am seeing is Nancy Pelosi shooting her mouth off about whose fault it is, Harry Reid looking like a frightened chihuahua, Barney Frank making stupid jokes, Obama not saying a word so it won't hurt his campaign, McCain claiming we have a bill when we don't have a bill, and the American people wanting blood for a quick fix, do I need to go on? Hell, the only ones trying to offer solutions and acting somewhat non-partisan is the Bush administration.

This is what we are getting from Botox Nancy, or the "Madame Speaker." This is about all this squeaking harpy is capable of.

And now eight years later, the foundation of that fiscal irresponsibility, combined with an anything goes economic policy, has taken us to where we are today. They claim to be free market advocates, when it’s really an anything goes mentality. No regulation, no supervision, no discipline. And if you fail, you will have a golden parachute, and the taxpayer will bail you out.

Those days are over. The party is over in that respect. Democrats believe in a free market. We know that it can create jobs, it can create wealth, it can create many good things in our economy. But in this case, in its unbridled form, as encouraged, supported, by the Republicans — some in the Republican Party, not all — it has created not jobs, not capital, it has created chaos. [1]

This is her plan.

That jobs are lacking, and therefore we need a stimulus package. [1]

The voters in her District should have their voting privileges revoked until the next generation for bringing this moron to power an making the rest of us suffer through her inept stupidity and never knowing when to keep her trap shut.

Good ole Harry Reid, Mr. Senate Majority Leader himself. The epitome of what a leader should not be, a nervous chihuahua pissing on itself. Don't worry he is all about the bipartisan approach, though. Senator Chihuahua on the 24th.

McCain holds the key to such a bipartisan vote, according to Reid, because Republicans are likely to defer to his position on a bill that holds political peril. [2]

On the 27th.

"The insertion of presidential politics has not been helpful, it has been harmful. All McCain has done is stand in front of the cameras." [3]

What did we get from Obamination? This,

Obama said "if you need me call me" regarding huge bailout debate.... [4]

McCain playing political volleyball with the Libturds,

"Our leaders are expected to leave partisanship at the door and come to the table to solve our problems. Senator Obama and his allies in Congress infused unnecessary partisanship into the process," McCain said during a campaign stop in Iowa." [5]

Look at them and look at them well. These are your myopic votes in action, your time wasted not giving an inkling of study to their character or records except what the television has told you. You and I brought this on and now we are suffering through these twits because of ourselves. They reflect our laziness and our apathy. This America, is now your best and brightest in a time of crisis, enjoy them you deserve them and all their great ideas. I'm out.

Congress: How Stupid are They?

Really, stupid. This latest bout is brought to you by the Botox Queen herself, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) and the rest of the tribe.

WASHINGTON -- House Democrats are moving to include a narrowed list of economic-stimulus proposals in a stopgap spending bill, Democratic aides said. The move could reduce chances they will push a more ambitious $50 billion stimulus package this month. [1]

Now I realize this probably won't get pushed through, but, this is all they can come up with? The government has just spent hundreds of billions in bailouts with more to come. Hey, let's add more debt to the American tax payer, they will never notice another $50 billion slipped in. Who do you think is paying for these stimulus packages? If you said the government, go change your party affiliation to stupid. We are paying for it, these stimulus packages are nothing more than loans that us, our children, and grandchildren will be paying for in the years to come. There is no such thing as free money. As is stands, minus some real creative financial wizardry, all of this will be floated by the American taxpayer, so let's add another $50 billion to the pie.

If it clears that hurdle, it faces an uncertain path in the House, where Democrats' allegiance to pay-as-you-go rules is much stronger. The rules require tax breaks and new spending programs to be offset with other tax increases or spending cuts. [1]

You want 30-40% taxation on middle class incomes? Well here you go, this plus all of the other BS, is the prime excuse that will be used to tax the living hell out of us. The Liberals in Congress, even the one's with an (R) attached to their names, would never dream of cutting spending. So, the only alternative is raise, raise, raise, taxes. Here is something new; try cutting taxes across the board, not just certain areas, cut spending across the board, spur investment, and use government oversight, not insane regulatory bodies.

Some Democrats have called for spending billions on infrastructure projects and increasing funds for the Medicaid health program for the poor, arguing the government shouldn't rescue floundering Wall Street firms but slam the door on individuals who've been battered by the housing slump or lost jobs. [1]

Oh how quaint, they want infrastructure projects and more spending on Medicaid another over bloated mismanaged government program on the brink of collapse, so let's throw more money at it. On the comical side, the Dems jump all over Palin for getting earmarks to fund infrastructure projects in Alaska and here they are. Wow!What can I say?

Our little technocrats are all befuddled and where is America's best and brightest? Is spending money and looking to antiquated solutions for modern day problems the best they can up with? My recommendation to Congress; quit worrying about the election, start worry about the electorate. Maybe try doing your jobs with a certain degree of fervor and interest.

Oil Diaries Part Two; The Left's Hit Job on Big Oil (Taking Down the Competition)

The Left is constantly bantering that we need to be using "renewable energy sources" and so we can get off oil, because we are running out and it is bad for the environment. Renewable energy sources are fine, if we had spent the time to find one that is an acceptable alternative to oil and can produce the same output, economically. To date, there is not a technology that is in existence, to my knowledge, that can accomplish this. Solar, wind, water, hybrids, none of them have any of the capacity, right now, to replace oil. So, why all the blistering debate; environment, security, lifestyle? Nope, it is about money, control, and elimination of competition through the government.

Investment activities that focus on companies or projects that are committed to the conservation of natural resources, the production and discovery of alternative energy sources, the implementation of clean air and water projects, and/or other environmentally conscious business practices. In fact, investing in "green" companies can be riskier than other equity strategies, as many companies in this arena are in the development stage, with low revenues and high earnings valuations. [1]

Green tech, as noted above, is a risky and volatile investment right now. Let's get real though, if you have an industry that is growing, the government is backing it up, and you are the government how much risk are you actually taking? But there is a huge problem with this equation and that is Big Oil. Oil companies, if allowed to exploit coal, shale, and offshore drilling would be able to extend the life of petrol products for quite along time. No one would really see a need for renewable energy sources in the near future.

Look at the potential for fossil fuel development just here in the United States alone.

The reserves of oil sands, which are actively being mined in Canada's Alberta Province, are estimated to be 1.8 trillion barrels. Experts estimate that much of this can be produced for $45 per barrel or less. Global reserves of oil shale are estimated at more than 3.3 trillion barrels, with 70 percent in the United States (primarily in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming). [2]

Shell Oil Co. last year announced it has developed a process for extracting the oil from the shale, without mining, at a price of roughly $35 per barrel. The United States also has the world's largest reserves of coal — enough for hundreds of years of production at present levels. Coal also can be turned into liquid petroleum (as the Germans and South Africans proved decades ago). Current estimates of the conversion cost are as low as $35 per barrel. [2]

Really? Proven technology in place, clean, safe, and cheap.

Why not develop it then? All we hear about is the environmental impact, derricks look ugly in the distance, the spotted owl, yadda yadda yadda. Feel good reasons and stupidity which will inevitably undermine the very economic fabric of this nation. This will force us to wait for a sound renewable energy source while remaining dependent on foreign oil and playing hostage to the Middle East and others. Yup, that sounds like a great plan.

If it were only that easy in my own twisted little mind. The only other conclusions I can draw are these. Money in big oil is already tied up with a certain list of players and I would hardly think that it includes any Harry Reid's, Nancy Pelosi's, or Al Gore's. So, they aren't in the club. Watching past fiascoes like Y2K, I think they learned something about panic and how much money it can generate, or maybe they already knew it. Secondly, the oil companies are already entrenched and would create to much competition for green tech/renewable energy. Especially if they were allowed to process coal, shale, and untapped oil. The Left must destroy or severly cripple these corporations through insane government regulations to create a need. If there is a gaping hole and green tech is the only way to fill it, imagine the money. Thirdly, through outrageous scare tactics and clever marketing, they have already created a market in the US and Europe to peddle their pill. At this point it is just a matter of removing the competition. All of this may be the why, but what about the how? Here you go.

Does it seem a bit odd that the current price of oil is more than twice the cost of producing all the oil the world presently needs and will need long into the future? The reason the price is so high is that the supply has been artificially constrained by governments. Most (88 percent) of the conventional oil reserves are owned by governments, and these governments have underinvested in new production. As is well-known, the U.S. government has restricted offshore and onshore drilling, shale development, and coal conversion. [2]

Although, there is one "small" problem and it is the American people. Let's look at a very popular Rasmussen poll taken not to long ago.

Six out of 10 Americans (61%) say Congress should return to Washington immediately to vote on lifting the ban on offshore oil drilling, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. But voters overwhelmingly expect Congress to adjourn this year without taking action. [3]

Seems the polling data might have scared the High Priestess of the Cult of Obamafornia.

On Monday Pelosi reversed course and said she was willing to allow such a vote – in September. [3]

With all of this in mind I am not against the development of renewable energy sources. This, from a free market perspective, is a great thing. A new and potentially profitable market to tap into and it will spur some competition. Not to mention the potential it has for space exploration, medical industries, information technologies, etc. But, as of now, it is not ready for prime-time.

The Cult of Obamafornia

Seems that the Cult of Obamania is running strong in the motherland of Obamafornia. The high priestess herself, Nancy Pelosi, had this to say about the messiah, "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time." (Methinks Pelosi's botox injections have gone to her brain) If that isn't scary enough, I think the One is believing his own hype. Check out this list of comedy that would make even the most narcassitic of us think he is a little wrapped up in himself.

“I will win. Don’t worry about that,” he said to the crowd of about 1,300 at his third event of the evening, according to the pool report. [1]

“They’ve got a whole machinery that they’re cranking out,” Obama continued. “They’ve got a book about me, that just kind of sprung full bore out of this guy’s head.” [1]

Who is this "guy" and what is this "book.?"

"John McCain, all he wants to do is talk about me. They know they can’t win on the issues. So what they’ll do is they’ll try to scare people. He’s risky. He’s risky. We’re not sure." [1]

Do their delusions have any limit? First, of course John McCain is talking about him, not to the length that the narcassicst would have you believe, but he is talking about him. Besides, why wouldn't he? Maybe someone should let the One know that he is in a race for the Presidency, it isn't his birth right.

If the Republicans are playing off of the fear of the unknown, then I would readily accuse the Democrats of playing off of the bitterness that people have developed. The only problem is they are directly responsible for many of the crisis we are presently facing, as well as the Republicans, and now are blocking initiatives, because of political motivation, that will solve some of them.

Now I realize this was a fund raiser, but the messianic attitude this hard core socialist/progressive base has towards Obama is down right frightening. What is even more disturbing is his mind-set towards his campaign and himself. His supporters need to wake up to reality about the Senator and I think he needs to do the same.
