Republican Misstep vs. Democratic Implosion

C.T.

As most know, Senator McCain was on a fact finding Congressional mission in Iraq. While at a news conference in Amman, Jordan, McCain slipped up and was corrected by Senator Joe Lieberman.

Mr. McCain said: “Well, it’s common knowledge and has been reported in the
media that Al Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are
coming back into Iraq from Iran. That’s well known. And it’s unfortunate.”

It was not until he got a quiet word of correction in his ear from Senator
Joseph
I. Lieberman
of Connecticut, who was traveling with Mr. McCain as part of a
Congressional delegation on a nearly weeklong trip, that Mr. McCain corrected
himself.

“I’m sorry,” Mr. McCain said, “the Iranians are training extremists, not Al Qaeda.” [1]

Does this equate to McCain's incompetency on national security? Hardly, the interesting fact is what McCain is making news about versus Hillary and Obama. The Obama controversy is self explanatory and Hillary's entrance into the news today is a release of her itinerary as First Lady.

Obama has very little experience or a traceable record in the Senate to judge him by. Because of this, the only things we can gauge him with is the company he keeps, his wife, the controversial statements the people have stated, and a bunch of empty suit speeches which sound great, but have very little substance or planning. Obama, no matter how the MSM or the Left try to correct it, is in hot water. His run for the Democratic candidacy may not be suffering, but his run in the general election is substantially damaged.

Clinton, as mentioned, is releasing an itinerary list as First Lady to show her qualifications for President. Last time I did a fact check on the "Office of the First Lady" it was not a political position nor does it show any credentials for President. Wouldn't it be more advantageous to explore her Senate record? Or does her voting record reflect her dichotomy? I would guarantee if you explore Mrs. Clinton's statements about what she believes in and compare it to her voting record you would see two different sides to her. This release is almost as sad as Obama's speech to heal the "racial divide."

McCain is in Iraq, checking on our troops, finding out the results of the Surge first hand, visiting Israel, getting face time with the Iraqie people, and talking to Middle Eastern leaders. He actually took time off from the campaign trail to do his job. But, today the Left is trying to paint him as a boob because of a slip up on some verbage. To them this equates to a person who has no command on national security issues. Now, let's look at this realistically. You have Clinton on one end giving a list of parties she hosted or attended and how she wasted tax payer money on entertaining herself and her staff. Yup, she should get your vote. Then, Obama. Well, the Black Panther/conspiracy nut candidate is done, so stick a fork in him.

Yeah, the Democrats have done a great job convincing me that McCain is incapable of running this country and their candidates are much more qualified. This is almost a laughable situation, their strategists much think the American public is made up wholey of brian dead sheep. I know we have our percentage of them, but for political news junkies, such as myself, their arrogance and contradictions are very entertaining.
