With Liberals and Progressives still in a state of Obamic euphoria, Conservatives and Republicans are just plain pissed off. CON-gress is getting inundated with calls from hopping mad Righties opposing the Porkulus package, outpacing LIE-beral calls of support by 100-1.
Scoop Le Rue, over at Conservative Exile, posted an article from the National Review Online showing how skeered our comrades on the Left are actually getting.
Chinks in the invincible Obama armor are starting to appear. Methinks the Prez is learning not all will bend to his wishes or hypnotic gaze. Keep up up the fight against the Obamination and his Porkulus.
NRO-"Conservatives Are Beating Us 100 To 1!" was the headline of a mailing from the liberal activist group Campaign for America's Future. "We've gotten word from our progressive friends on Capitol Hill that for every one hundred phone calls to Congress from conservatives trying to obstruct change, there is only one phone call from a citizen demanding passage of President Obama's economic recovery bill," the mailing says. read more...

Nice to see what appears to be a stance against this liberal wishlist of spending. However, and I know you will label me a skeptic, but I still believe the GOP price tags are gonna begin showing. The obvious point to make here is that if the dems completely change this bill to suit the GOP it will still be credit to this great bill that Obama got passed. I still say let them own it. Rushbo had a pretty neat counter proposal, not that I could ever see that happening...
If they passed this bill AS IS, increased the minimum wage to $20.00 per hour and let the bottom of the market fall out, let corporatations fold, and let the market crash, then restabilize, we would at least know what we are dealing with, and the people would see the damage of pork spending. Right now we are doing just that, only taking 10 years to get there. (Albeit a little faster than that now.)
Yeah there is always a price tag with everything, I agree. But by the way things are looking the Liberals are cashing in all of their political capital on this one regardless of what the GOP is going to do. People had hope that the bill would go to the Senate and get chopped, instead we get a $900 billion monstrosity versus the $800 billion. They are going for broke on this one and nothing can really be done. However I do agree, why spread the suffering let's get it over with now and get all this bullshit over with.
