Add a little socialism to your agenda, DOW vaporizes another trillion or two, savvy pollster or brain dead moron, and Obama is going Chicago on Johnny Mac.

Obama Held Membership in Socialist New Party
The New Media Journal- Evidence is continuing to surface that indicates Barack Obama was a member of the Socialist New Party, an organization headquartered in Chicago during the mid-1990s. The New Party was formed to serve as a in Chicago by the Democrat Socialists of America in 1992 to serve as a central coordinating body for various Socialist Party activities in the region. It survived until 2000, when it disintegrated into its various factions. The Organization experienced a bump in membership in the late 1990s but was all but defunct by 2000 in part because of a Supreme Court decision that ruled the organizations "fusion" reform platform as unconstitutional.

The document uncovered by a variety of internet publications including Politically Drunk on Power, the Jawa Report, No Quarter, NewsBusters and Libertarian Republican, shows documents, webpages, that had been scrubbed from the New Party’s website but that had been archived by the non-profit Internet Archive Organization, that prove beyond question Obama's membership in the Party. One document states: "Illinois: Three NP members won Democratic Primaries last Spring and face-off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (US House), Barack Obama (State Senate), Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)." I was not sure if I was going to post this, because there is so much crap flying around about Obama and his past connections. But, the realistic side to me knows that even if 50% is true that is still dangerous. The only reason I give this report any credence is because the Jawa Report is mentioned. They actually have a great reputation for investigation, so there might be something to it. Until more comes out I am sticking with his ambition being the motivating factor he had for any contact to these groups. Make your own decision.

Stocks tumble after late sell-off

By Tim Paradis,(AP)- Stocks plunged Thursday, sending the Dow Jones industrial average down 679 points -- more than 7 percent -- to its lowest level in five years. Stocks took a nosedive after a major credit-rating agency said it might cut its rating on General Motors and Ford, further rattling investors already fretting over the impact of tight credit on the economy.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index also fell more than 7 percent. Read more...
Whew, that is a lot of money to just disappear. The talking heads have made one good point, the capital from the bailout has not hit the markets yet. So of course they are going to be volatile. Americans just need to remember stay calm and start looking around for some potential investments. When this thing passes and it will, you could be sitting on a nice hunk of change if you play your cards right.

Pollster: Don’t believe the Dem hype

By Joe Dwinell & Jessica Fargen, Boston Herald- The presidential race is still too close to call and could come down to the very last weekend before voters decide if they like or distrust Barack Obama, a national pollster predicts.

“I don’t think Obama has closed the deal yet,” pollster John Zogby told the Herald yesterday.

Zogby’s latest poll, released yesterday in conjunction with C-Span and Reuters, shows Obama and John McCain in a statistical dead heat, with the Illinois Democrat up 48-45 percent. Read more...

I dunno, I would love to think McCain is a sleeper and will pounce on Obama come election day, but I don't see it. Zogby goes on to say this is like the 1980 election between Carter and Reagan. You can compare just about any election to another in recent memory. I see similarities between this and 2000 & 2004 it doesn't mean the outcome is going to be the same. We will know on Nov 4th.

Obama: McCain Scoring 'Cheap Political Points'

By KATIE ESCHERICH and LAUREN SHER, ABC News- Sen. Barack Obama says the personal attacks levied against him by the campaign of his presidential rival, Sen. John McCain, particularly references to his association with 1960s anti-war radical Bill Ayers, are an attempt to "score cheap political points."

"Why don't we just clear it up right now," Obama told ABC News' Charlie Gibson in an exclusive interview for World News. "I'll repeat again what I've said many times. This is a guy who engaged in some despicable acts 40 years ago when I was eight years old. By the time I met him, 10 or 15 years ago, he was a college professor of education at the University of Illinois . . . And the notion that somehow he has been involved in my campaign, that he is an adviser of mine, that . . . I've 'palled around with a terrorist', all these statements are made simply to try to score cheap political points." Read more...
Well looks like Obambi is going street on the ole bomber pilot. I don't care what Obama says, there is something suspicious about his past. I personally think he is trying to cover up his ultra liberal philosophy. Rick Moran at the Right Wing Nuthouse put it best when he said if he had any relations with these organizations it was because he was adapting to his political surroundings out of ambition. I tend to agree.
