Interesting day in the news, OPEC is getting the screws put to them, awww that's ashame, Palin hacker indicted, yay!, charitable law enforcement officer in Chicago area, and go figure, another ACORN office raided. I would have never seen that coming.

Opec members seek emergency meeting
By Carola Hoyos in London, half the members of the Opec oil cartel are considering an emergency meeting in Vienna next month as oil prices dropped to their lowest level in nearly a year.

Almost half the members of cartel have in the past few days called on the group to act to halt the slide before their next official meeting scheduled to take place in Algeria in late December. Read more...
Awwwwww, those poor Middle Eastern billionaires, what will they do??? Now they cannot take advantage of the rest of the world as it gets dragged into a financial abyss. The good news is they are going down with the rest of us. How fitting.

Son of Tenn. Democrat indicted in Palin hacking

By DUNCAN MANSFIELD,(AP) - The son of a Democratic Tennessee state lawmaker pleaded not guilty Wednesday to hacking the e-mail account of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

David Kernell, 20, of Knoxville, Tenn. entered the plea in federal court in Knoxville, the same day prosecutors unsealed an indictment charging him with intentionally accessing Palin's e-mail account without authorization.

One thing most people forget about invading another person's privacy, if you are found guilty of this crime it can lead to a lot more than your privacy getting invaded in Federal prison. If you know what I mean.

Sheriff in Ill. county won't evict in foreclosures

CHICAGO (AP) - Residents of foreclosed properties in Chicago and other parts of Cook County don't have to worry about deputies forcing them out. Sheriff Tom Dart says that starting Thursday his office won't take part in evictions.

Dart says he's concerned that many of the people being evicted are renters who were unaware that their landlords have been failing to pay their mortgages. He says his deputies have no way of knowing whether they're removing someone who has defaulted on a loan or someone who has been faithfully paying rent.
Okay, I know to a lot of Republicans this might equate welfare rats getting over on the system once again. But, I see it differently, granted I don't know all the circumstances. But, I see this is a little bit of charity for your neighbors in a time of crisis. A very Conservative ideal that has been forgotten. Where we have to be careful is make sure it does not become expected by people who do not deserve it.

ACORN Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation

By Eric Shawn, Judson Berger, and Cristina Corbin & AP, Fox News- Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state's office, told the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about "erroneous" registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.
Wow!! I would have never suspected that an outstanding and honest organization such as ACORN would have ever perpetrated such a heinous act against the American voter. Voter fraud? No way, there must be some mistake. Check back here at PCT, if you are interested, we will be running a piece on how ACORN election fraud in the battle ground states could play a larger role in the election results.
